Technical draft

Cookie policy

Every cookie this site can write, with its name, its duration and its reason. And a warning: there is no analytics or marketing cookie today.

Last updated: October 20, 2026

1. What cookies are and why this page exists

A cookie is a small file the browser stores on your device and that the site can read later. Technical (or necessary) cookies make the site work: without them you cannot keep a session or have your language remembered. Analytics and marketing cookies measure or track behaviour and are not needed for the service.

This policy describes exactly what the product does today. If the list of cookies and the notice shown on the site do not match, that is a bug and we fix it: the banner is the short version and this is the full one.

2. Categories

The product classifies its cookies into four categories. The first two do not need consent because they are needed for the site to work; the last two are not switched on without consent.

3. The cookies we use today, one by one

This is the complete and current list. There are no exceptions: if the browser writes a cookie that is not here, that is our bug.

The authentication session cookies are written by the session library during the sign-in process and are removed when you sign out or when they expire.

4. Browser local storage

As well as cookies, the site stores a couple of keys in the browser's local storage. They do not travel to the server on their own, but they are your data living on your device, so we declare them too.

Saved trips are stored on the device first, so the site responds instantly, and are synced with your account if you register. If you do not register, they stay in your browser and are removed when you clear the site's data.

5. Third-party cookies

There is no third-party cookie today. No analytics, no pixels, no social media: not a single third-party tag is loaded on this product's pages.

If one were ever needed, it would not load until you had expressly accepted it in the cookie notice, and it would appear here with its name, its provider and its duration. The rule is simple: no third parties without a gate.

6. How to change or withdraw your consent

You can withdraw your consent at any time from the privacy page of your account, with a button that deletes the consent record and the data the browser keeps on this device. Since there are no categories that need consent today, that button switches nothing off: what it does is clear what is already stored.

You can also delete cookies from your browser settings. Keep in mind that deleting session cookies means you have to sign in again, and that deleting the anonymous visitor identifier means losing access to the trips you created without registering.

If you block cookies entirely, the site still works, but you will not be able to sign in or to keep your trips from one session to the next.
